Call to action: 'La città dei giovani'

Today, on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, we want to highlight “La Città dei Giovani” (“The City of Youth”), the call to action launched last autumn by Fondazione di Comunità Milano together with Fondazione Claudio De Albertis, Fondazione Alia Falck, and Fondazione De Agostini. The initiative was aimed at young people under 30 eager to get involved in creating or revitalizing spaces across Milan to experiment with new models of learning, entertainment, and social interaction.

The 10 finalist groups began a training program supported by Avanzi – Sostenibilità per Azioni, with the goal of turning their ideas into actionable projects to be submitted to the Foundations for the final and most crucial step: the evaluation phase. The selected proposals – focusing on street sports, agro-ecology, digital innovation, and community spaces for music and cultural events – are spread across seven districts of Milan, with a higher concentration in Districts 2 and 5. All projects are driven by non-profit organizations or youth-led groups acting as designers and curators, united by a common goal: to create inclusive gathering places where young people can exchange ideas, play sports, stay informed, and have fun.
